We’d like to introduce you to Mario who joined our growing team last month as a Senior Geospatial Software Developer.
We asked him a few questions about his career and what he’s looking forward to in his new role…
Tell us a little bit about your career so far
I have a background in GIS and Software Development with experience delivering geospatial applications and providing robust solutions in sectors such as traffic, transport planning, mobility, location-based services, demographics and geomarketing.
I’ve spent the last years working on incubation products/projects bringing innovative ideas to life with success and working across the entire software development life cycle.
I’ve also spent time creating spatial algorithms and models to provide spatial components and functionalities to web apps, enhancing algorithms for custom business problems.
Throughout my career I’ve been combining my geospatial expertise with my experience in software development to successfully apply technologies to solve complex problems in different areas, bringing new solutions and modern ideas to the market.
What do you like most about your job?
I especially love the challenge of creating a solution to complex problems which helps to understand trends in the market and change the way the world works, coming up with creative thinking that could help clients and companies.
I also like the exposure to different industries, and the opportunity to learn new things about the industry I am working on.
What do you bring to the team?
I can add high value to different projects and products providing critical input in different areas based on my development skills and geospatial expertise, playing an essential role in the design, development and deployment of software products.
In addition, I’m very passionate and enthusiastic about my work and the industry and I love to share knowledge with colleagues.
What are you looking forward to most?
As Senior Geospatial Software Developer I’m looking forward to working with a collaborative team willing to create and provide new solutions to clients.
I’m happy with the opportunity to work in a specialist software solutions company in collaboration with experts that deliver exceptional products with the best practices.
What interests you outside of work?
I have a huge interest in travelling where I can explore different cultures and traditions, having new, meaningful experiences.
I’m a fan of football and I used to play in teams which competed in national and international competitions.
